Phoenix Arts Creative Camp
After School Arts Program (PACC)
Introducing PACC:ASAP (Phoenix Arts Creative Camp After School Arts Program) - PACC:ASAP is an entertainment industry arts intensive after-school program designed to bridge the gap between legends and legacies by reaffirming the need for community, cultural connectivity, and unity. The program boasts several elective tracks that include dance, acting, singing, production design, music production, directing, content creation, and a track for parents with talented and creative youth. Middle and high school students across the region will have an opportunity to learn from the best in the arts and entertainment industry whose credits include megastars Beyonce, Usher, John Legend, and shows like BMF, Black Panther 2, Tamron Hall Show, and Black Lightning, all while building camaraderie among their like-minded peers.
Southern Maryland Youth Poet Laureate
The National Youth Poet Laureate program works with local youth literary arts organizations across the United States to identify and celebrate exceptional youth poets who use their voices to inspire change. Our program model supports local literary partners in launching their local youth poet laureate program, elevating these young poet-activists, and creating opportunities and resources to expand and elevate platforms for these youth poet laureates. This program is supported by the Academy of American Poets, the Poetry Society of America, the Library of Congress, the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Parks Service, Cave Canem, and many more organizations.
Dream Academy
Our pilot program, designed for grades 4-6, gives Charles County students an opportunity to experience arts- and international-focused learning. Formatted for virtual or in-person learning, this leadership program begins with students investigating the United Nations’ 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development through a critical arts lens.
Using arts integration and project-based learning, students present an arts artifact in visual arts, performance, or creative writing on how they will use their talents, interests, and passions to contribute to the continued development of one of the Global Goals.
